Two CC football players named to Tidewater District first team; Jones selected as Coach of the Year

Three Charles City High School football players were named to All-Tidewater District teams for the past season.

First team selections went to senior Shane Jones at the quarterback position and sophomore Damian Zuidema at the defensive back position. Jones was also named as a second team member on the defensive line, while junior teammate Damian Barnes Jr. received two second team district nods at the positions of running back and kickoff returner.

Charles City Head Coach Sherod Jones was selected as the 2024 Tidewater District Coach of the Year.
