New Kent finishes with silver at home gymnastics competition

New Kent’s Ryan Griffith finished as the All-Around winner as New Kent’s Lady Trojans placed second at their home gymnastic meet at Virginia Elite Gymnastics Academy.

Griffith finished first in the uneven bars (9.05), vault (9.35), balance beam (9.05), and floor exercise (9.275), scoring a total of 36.275 to finish as the top overall performer. Teammate Chloe Coyle finished second with a score of 31.9 with third-place performances on the uneven bars (6.975), vault (8.65), fourth on the beam (8.05), and fifth in the floor exercise (8.225).

New Kent scored 125.35 at the home competition, finishing with the silver medal after being edged out by Glen Allen (126.43). Patrick Henry finished in third place.
