Two NKMS students participate in national AAU field hockey tournament

Two New Kent Middle School students recently participated in the USA Field Hockey U14 National Club Championship tournament in Virginia Beach.

Rising eighth graders Mackenzie Fischer and Annabella Weaver represented their respective teams during the tournament that invited the top 24 teams in the nation. Fischer played goalkeeper for Focus FH, who finished in eighth in the tournament. Weaver was a forward for Relentless Field Hockey Club, who placed 10th in the event.
