Girls top Southampton

New Kent’s Lady Trojan tennis team came close, but let a Bay Rivers District victory slip away last Wednesday. The hosts held a 4-2 advantage over visiting York after singles competition, but dropped all three doubles matches to fall 5-4.

In earlier matches, the Lady Trojans won 8-1 at Southampton and fell 7-2 at home against Lafayette.
