Bank of Essex team captures NK 4-H golf title
The Bank of Essex team of Mark Ware, Paul Erdman, Jason Turner, and Larry Burch won the 19th annual New Kent 4-H Golf Classic played April 18 at Brookwoods Golf Club in Quinton.
The event, organized by New Kent Cooperative Extension, raised $2,900 for the New Kent 4-H Scholastic Fund.
The winning foursome carded a 16 under par 56. Finishing one stroke back in second was the Windmill Realtors team of Ken Pair, Arthur Clarke, Kenny Harris, and John Lowery. Team Putt It (Charles Davis, Tommy Marvin, Burt Hodges, Dave Rolland) and Davis Produce (Paul Davis, Craig Pierce, Rick Forbes, Keith Hamm) tied for third at 13 under 59.
