NK wrestlers first, third in separate duals

New Kent wrestlers went 5-0 in the Bay Rivers District Duals last Saturday, upping their team record to 7-0 in the district (18-1 overall) and continuing their 21-match district winning streak.

The Trojans were led by Trey Gregory, Mikey Emana, Nolan Schultz, Devontae Fitzgerald, Willie Driscoll,and Ethan Young who went 5-0 for the day.

New Kent’s wrestlers captured third in the Jan. 8-9 James River Duals, finishing the competition with a 6-1 record.

The Trojans’ only loss was to eventual champion Hanover. The team took third place by criteria to break a three-way tie between New Kent, Hanover, and Forest Park.
