NK grand jury indicts 10

Ten individuals have been indicted by a New Kent Circuit Court grand jury. Convening on March 15, the grand jury indicted:

–Jarrel Ryan Adams, 24, of 3712 Henrico St., Norfolk, on one count of possession of a controlled substance. Adams was arrested last Nov. 2.

–George Lawrence Hoover, 49, of 5887 White Oak Rd., Sandston, on one count of driving after being declared a habitual offender. Hoover was arrested on Jan. 1.

–Michael Scott Davis Jr., 20, of 9616 Crump’s Mill Rd., Quinton, on five counts of grand larceny and two counts of petty larceny. The charges stem from items, including a shotgun, IPods, CDs, a computer, cell phone, and GPS system, taken from several unlocked cars between last Oct. 16 and Nov. 30.

–James Daniel Eberhard, 33, 3703 Relic Dr., Sandston, on one count of felony larceny after two or more previous larceny convictions. Last July 26, Eberhard allegedly stole an adult magazine from a local convenience store.

–Todd Randolph Guthrie, 20, of 5311 Hemlock Rd., Quinton, on two counts of grand larceny. Guthrie allegedly stole a 2008 Kawasaki four-wheeler belonging to Rick Gastrich on March 22, 2009 and a 2003 Ford Escort belonging to Kara Marie Sluder last Sept. 2.

–Ryan Christopher Houston, 35, of 4522 Devonshire Rd. Apt. 4, Richmond, on one count of heroin possession stemming from Dec. 17, 2008.

–Robert Marlin Murphy, 23, of 4901 North Waterside Dr., Lanexa, on one count of possession of a controlled substance stemming from Dec. 31.

–Bart D. Smith, 31, of 1215 Starling Dr., Richmond, on one count each of passing a bad check, mechanics lien fraud, and obtaining building materials by false pretenses. The bad check charge stems from a check for $1,532.63 made payable to Providence Forge Hardware.

–Carmen Nicole Terry, 33, of 7958 Quinton Place, Quinton, on one count each of burglary and grand larceny. Terry allegedly broke into the dwelling of Donna Simmons last Nov. 2 and stole $1,726 in cash and a $50 gift card.

–Jacquelyn Wine Cool, 45, of 6923 North Hairpin Dr., Quinton, on five counts of embezzlement and one count of forgery. The embezzlement charges involve close to $9,500 allegedly obtained by checks or automatic withdrawal from an escrow account belonging to Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and Elisha Morris III.
