The NKYA Rookie Division Dodgers finish the regular season 12-0 and won the end of the season tournament. The Dodgers finish the season with a 14-0 combined record.

In the end of season rookie tournament championship game, the Dodgers faced the number two ranked Cardinals. Going into the championship game, the Cardinals had a record of 12-2.

The game lived up to expectations through the first five innings. Going into the bottom of the fifth, the Dodgers led 16-14.

But the Dodgers began to pull away as back-to-back singles put runners on first and second. Chayne Morse then belted a double to drive in both runners.

Ben “Junior” Ward’s homer opened a 20-14 lead. Shaun Coons then hit a hard ground ball and made it to base safely. Leighton Fessman then singled, scoring Coons for the game’s final run.

For the game, Morse had two doubles, Ward tripled and homered, Coons and Fessman both doubled, Gavin Stevens tripled, and Zach Morse homered.

For the Cardinals, Christian Martinez and Nathan Albertson tripled and Gary Max smacked two doubles.
