Charles City Fair results

Charles City County Fair’s home and garden exhibits featured 52 adults entering 365 items and 16 youth entering 52 items.

Judy Ledbetter won the most blue ribbons (42) in the adult division. Second was Tina Whitehead with 34 followed by Louise Hudgins in third with 19.

Taylor Richardson won eight blue ribbons to lead the youth division. Casey Richardson placed second with seven while Jordan Crawley came in third with three.

Louise Hudgins won the Best Bread Pudding in Charles City competition. Brandi Flowers placed second while Sylvia Christian took third.

Shae Taylor won the Brunch for a Bunch Recipe Contest sponsored by the Virginia Egg Council. Angela Adkins finished second followed by Jason Fortier in third.

Glenn Barlow won the singles competition in the fair’s horseshoe tournament with Roy White placing second. Mitch Carter and Wilkco Carter teamed to take doubles with Kervin Ashby and Robert Jones in second.

In the Charles City Hot Rod Association car show, Vincent Charity of Charles City won best in show and the Royal Dreams Car Club of North Carolina won for longest distance traveled.
