A Richmond man faces 14 felony sex counts in Charles City that cover a span of eight years and involve an underage girl.

A Charles City Circuit Court grand jury indicted David Russell Skulimoski, 49, of 3907 Beechmont Road, on Nov. 9. A breakdown of the charges shows four counts each of forcible sodomy, animate or inanimate object sexual penetration, and aggravated sexual battery along with two counts of child pornography possession.

Authorities are not releasing the girl’s age, but most of the charges relate to when the victim was under age 13. The indictments cover the period of 2002-2010.

Commonwealth’s Attorney Rob Tyler said Skulimoski is being held without bond in Richmond where he faces other child pornography charges. Tyler said the defendant has one previous sex offense conviction in Chesterfield County in 1988, but is not a registered sex offender.

Skulimoski, meanwhile, is due to return to Charles City court on Nov. 19 for arraignment and appointment of counsel. Judge Thomas B. Hoover also ordered the defendant held without bond on the Charles City charges.
