Providence Forge woman wins $4 million from VA lottery scratch game

A Providence Forge woman received a very unique Valentine’s Day present: $4 million dollars.

Brenda Maxey won the top prize in Virginia Lottery’s “$4 Million Mega Multiplier” scratcher game, purchasing the ticket on Feb. 14. Maxey purchased the ticket at Chubby’s gas station in Sandston.

“I looked at it and looked at it again,” she said. “I thought ‘That can’t be right!’”

Maxey elected to take the cash option for the winnings, which will pay her slightly more than $2.1 million. Prizes in the “$4 Million Mega Multiplier” range from $20 to $4 million.
