Charles City man charged with murder in James City County

A Charles City man is in custody at Middle Peninsula Regional Jail after he allegedly was involved in a murder last November.

Wilbert McKenley Walker, 22, was arrested last Friday stemming from the death of Tyler Anthony Cole of James City County. According to the police report, Walker allegedly drove two other suspects to Ironbound Square Park. The other two suspects allegedly exited the vehicle and shot into Cole’s vehicle. Cole was fatally wounded and pronounced dead upon arrival at a hospital.

Walker is charged with second-degree murder and is currently being held without bond.
