St. Peter’s Parish awards five scholarships to NKHS seniors

St. Peter’s Parish has recently awarded five scholarships to New Kent High School graduating seniors.

Robert Best, David Bushhouse, Heath Hardiman, Clare Morris, and Austin Pierce, each received $1,000 scholarships courtesy of the Louise Miller Clopton and William Boyd Clopton Memorial Scholarship fund. The awards are given to students who demonstrate strong moral character, religious involvement, community service, motivation, and academic success.

A committee chose the recipients, with committee chairman Bill O’Keefe saying each student demonstrated maturity and strong moral values.
