New Kent Coyotes capture flight in volleyball tournament

The New Kent Juniors Volleyball Coyotes team won their flight in the 16s division at the Williamsburg Volleyball Club Revolutionary Rumble Tournament last weekend.

The team’s record in the event was seven wins, two loses, and one tie. The team started practices in December 2014, and has been competing since mid-January.

The Rumble was their last event in the 2015 season. Other notable finishes included second in a 12-team event at the Richmond Volleyball Club in March.

Team members are Lucy Adamson, Jada Evans, Brianna Seay, Zoe Smith, Tiffany Tolley, Lexi Batkins, Jenna Helt, Kaitlyn Claytor, and Mattie Thornton.

The team is coached by Anna Stuart Lambert and Stuart Burnett. All players are members of the New Kent High School JV or varsity teams.
