Hunkele to campaign for Charles City Circuit Court clerk

Sandra R. Hunkele has announced her candidacy for the position of Circuit Court Clerk of Charles City County.

Hunkele is the current Chief Deputy Clerk of Charles City Circuit Court and has been employed for the last eight years in Charles City’s Circuit Court office. She has spent of total of 18 years in the court systems in both New Kent and Charles City, and has served as a magistrate and deputy clerk in both the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court and Charles City General District Court.

“It is wonderful to be able to come to work every day to do a job that I love,” Hunkele said in a press release. “I hope to use my 18 years of experience in the court system to serve the people of Charles City County as their clerk.”

Hunkele has been a resident of Charles City for nearly 30 years. She has two grown children and one granddaughter, all of whom are residents of the county.
