New Kent Odyssey of the Mind teams celebrate recent success

Members of New Kent High School’s Odyssey of the Mind team pose with their structure after success at regional competition.

Students from New Kent schools recently achieved success in regional Odyssey of the Mind competition. Students were required to construct either vehicles or bridges made of balsa wood to hold weights. Each team from the school also participated at the state level.

George Watkins Elementary School vehicle team members were Elin Anderson, Jeyce Atkins, Amaura Christian, Brayson Pridemore, Noah Schneider, Liz Segreto, and Kendal Vorous.

New Kent Middle School Structure participants were Emma West, Allison Sours, Elena Gutierrez, Sky Lumpkin, Jacob Broz, Hannah Sherman, and Karl Schiender.

New Kent Middle School Classics team representatives were Justine Eckert, Jake Ferris, Quinn Chisenhall, Jesse Cousins, Kadijah Manning, and Billy Bowery.

New Kent High School Structure team members were Joshua Eckert, Amber Thomas, Kai Schwegal, Tim Lopez, Brian Miller, Matt Howard, and Grace Daniel.
