Mrs. Brandon Alexander Belcher (Caroline Hope Evelyn)

The marriage of Miss Caroline Hope Evelyn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas C. Evelyn of New Kent, Virginia, to Mr. Brandon Alexander Belcher, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Belcher II of Quinton, Virginia, took place Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Cumberland Plantation in New Kent.

The Reverend Dr. S. Paul Rowles, rector, officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William C. Stanley, formerly of Glen Allen, Virginia, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Evelyn, formerly of New Kent.

The groom is the grandson of Mrs. James Belcher of Mechanicsville and the late Mr. James Belcher, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gary, formerly of Richmond, Virginia.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Mrs. Emily Anne Wallace, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor and Miss Vera Lessa, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor.

The bridesmaids were Mrs. Jessica Evelyn and Mrs. Carrie Evelyn, sisters-in-law of the bride; Mrs. Angela Belcher, sister-in-law of the groom; and Miss Katy Cash, Miss Amber Owens, Miss Megan Thomas and Miss Megan Weaver, friends of the bride. Misses Camden and Laney Evelyn, nieces of the bride, and Miss Andrea Belcher, niece of the groom, were the flower girls.

Mr. Belcher was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Mr. James Belcher III, brother of the groom; Mr. Thomas Evelyn and Mr. Patrick Evelyn, brothers of the bride; Mr. Edwin Wallace, brother-in-law of the bride; and Mr. Chris Brown, Mr. Ryan Combelic, Mr. Jonathan Kay and Mr. Ryan Vigil, all friends of the groom.

The friends of the groom, along with Mr. Michael Magtalas and Mr. Luke Glinski, assisted with the Arch of Sabers. Junior groomsmen were Mr. Clayton Evelyn and Mr. Trevor Evelyn, nephews of the bride. Mr. Clayton Evelyn and Mr. Colin Carnley, cousin of the groom, were the readers.

The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at Wallace Manor in Providence Forge, Virginia. The wedding reception was also held at Cumberland Plantation.

The bride is a 2014 graduate of Longwood University and plans to pursue a career in education. The groom is a 2015 graduate of the United State Air Force Academy and plans to become a pilot in the Air Force.

The bride and groom would like to thank everyone who gave parties, showers and luncheons in celebration of their nuptials. They appreciate everyone who participated in the celebration of their new life together.

The couple will reside in Columbus, Mississippi.
