The Bay Rivers Buccaneers fielded three teams this summer for the football season. Approximately 58 players from seven areas, including New Kent and Charles City, helped compose the teams.

The 8U team players consisted of Cooper Adkins, Ira Burrell II, La’Vonte Crawley, Landon Farries, Brandon Foster, Caleb Holmes, Andrew Kent, Demitrius “Meaty” Knorr, Adam Moore, Sam Nickerson, Liam OConnell, Owen Passut, Jarred Petersen, Alexis Powell, Reese Poole, Jackson Strickland and John West. The team finished 3-4, marking an improvement throughout the season under the direction of coaches David Whitlow, Ty Adkins, and Sam Poole. Whitlow commented that the team’s adjustments and quick learning ability to improve helped them to a good season.

Bay Rivers Buccaneers 12U team players included Tevian Adams, Lance Alfonso, Gavin Allen, Taylor Bandy, Avery Bell, Joey Campbell, Cameron Davison, Jason Fudala, Connor Grazioso, Alex Grey, Alan Hutto, Patrick Johnson, Dakarai Knorr, Tyler Lacks, Joe Nickerson, Logan Powell, Andrew Rudisill, Cole Schneider, Brayden Sheffer, Aaron Simmons, Hayden Smith, Caleb Stanley, Nathan Thornton, Gavin Webb, Philip Whitecotton, and Jordan Zahn. Lance Alfonso, Connor Grazioso, Joey Campbell, and Logan Powell, were selected to the E2E All-star team and will participate in the DMAXX national tournament on June 26-28 in Maryland. Coach Thornton said that he was proud of the team and thrilled that players who never scored received the opportunity to do so.
