Charles City High School JROTC to present colors at Washington Redskins’ game
Charles City County High School’s Army JROTC “Panther” Battalion will have the honor to have the cadet color guard present the national colors during Aug. 20 pre-game ceremonies at FEDEX field in Landover, Maryland.
The color guard will take the field prior to a 7:30 p.m. Thursday night kickoff between the Washington Redskins and Detroit Lions. Four cadets along with JROTC instructor SFC Steward Greene will be presenting America’s colors in front of 80,000 fans.
Supporters can view the game on television to see the cadets, as it will be regionally broadcasted. This marks the sixth time in the unit’s 20-year history that they have been invited to perform the honor.
