Williams earns scholarship as SkillsUSA winner

Chase Williams, a senior at New Kent High School, is the recipient of a $500 scholarship from the Chifford H. “Ted” Rees Jr. Scholarship Foundation.

Williams was awarded the scholarship as a result of being the statewide winner of the SkillsUSA Championships in the HVACR category at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference.

Williams participated in the national SkillsUSA National Championships July 22-26 with more than 6,000 other career and technical students from the secondary and post-secondary level.
