Purchase of ATV leads to arrest in New Kent
A Providence Forge resident who allegedly purchased an all-terrain vehicle without permission from a former employer has been arrested.
Erin M. Bierwirth, 33, of the 6700 block of Halstead Lane, was arrested on Sept. 22 on two counts of forgery, and one count each of felony embezzlement, obtaining money by false pretenses, and identity theft.
According to the police report, Bierworth worked for Ronald Marshburn and allegedly purchased an ATV valued over $20,000, signing documents without Marshburn’s permission. Bierwirth was being held without bond.
In other recent arrests made by New Kent Sheriff’s Office:
–Jessy D. Babbitt, 22, currently of Henrico Jail East, was arrested on one charge of assault on a law enforcement officer. On Sept. 25, Babbitt allegedly assaulted an officer while he was incarcerated in Henrico Jail East.
–Ramann L. Harris, 28, currently of Henrico Jail East, was arrested on one count of assault on a law enforcement officer. Harris allegedly committed the offense while incarcerated in Henrico Jail East on Sept. 24.
–Ryan S. Quesenberry, 23, of the 200 block of Burton Drive, Williamsburg, on one count each of burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, grand larceny, and active participation of a criminal gang during a criminal act. According to the report, Newport News police arrested Quesenberry on an outstanding warrant for allegedly participating in crimes in New Kent with Joshua McNeal, Bailey Strickland, and Rachel Dillon, all co-defendants who have previously been arrested and currently face trial in New Kent. Quesenberry was being held without bond and was scheduled to appear in New Kent General District Court on Sept. 28.
–Dillon V. Slanina, 24, of the 300 block of Saint Thomas Drive, Apt. H, Newport News, on one count of possession of a controlled substance. Slanina was arrested on an outstanding warrant that was taken out by the Virginia State Police. Slanina was released on a personal recognizance bond.
