Letter to the Editor: Says New Kent offices are fine the way they are
I have seen plenty of signs advertising new contestants for the upcoming elections in New Kent.
My wife and I moved to New Kent over 10 years ago. We were attracted by the safe and peaceful county, by decent property values, and a great countryside.
I believe New Kent has a bright future, great schools, and the most favorable environment to raise a family. I also believe that our current elected county offices, especially law enforcement, are doing a great job in keeping it that way. Many families try to settle in New Kent for these exact reasons.
New Kent is not in the news every night for the wrong reasons. The old saying, “If it ain’t broke,’ don’t fix it” is the best way I can explain my wish to keep New Kent what it is: a wonderful place to live! Please think about that when you go to vote on Nov. 3.
