Letter to the Editor: Says election season was a successful one

Being a poll worker in New Kent, I felt that we had a good campaign election in New Kent.

I was very pleased with sheriff-elect Joe McLaughlin’s humbleness and his opponent, Captain Charles Gardner, who did his part giving the voters a choice. He accepted the choice of Mr. McLaughlin as the next sheriff.

Good job gentlemen and keep up the good work.
