Joan Garnett

Joan Garnett, 61, of Quinton, Virginia, went to be with her Lord on Monday, Dec. 14, 2015.

She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church in Quinton and a graduate of Waynesboro High School.

She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, and she will greatly be missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Leon Taylor; sister, Sharon Taylor; and uncle, Ronald Taylor.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Garnett; daughter, Amanda Garnett; step-daughter, Kimberly Lowe; mother, Margaret Berry; brother, Tony Taylor; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family received friends on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, from 6-8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va., 23231. Services were held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015, at 2 p.m. Interment was held at Washington Memorial Park.
