Stocking the food pantry

Girl Scouts tote heavy grocery bags filled with food donations for the Proclaiming Grace Outreach Food Pantry at Tabernacle United Methodist Church near Barhamsville in New Kent County. Thirty-eight Girl Scouts representing five troops based at Stonehouse Presbyterian Church in Toano pose for a group photo before starting work on Feb. 2 to deliver 350 grocery bags filled with food. Over the course of their project, the scouts have distributed close to 1,000 bags to the outreach’s pantry and another food pantry in James City County.
