Three indicted by New Kent grand jury
A New Kent grand jury handed down indictments to three individuals on Jan. 11 in New Kent Circuit Court.
–Chad Jerome Freeman, 30, of Virginia Beach, on one count of child endangerment. According to the indictment, on Nov. 13, 2015, Freeman was driving at a high rate of speed when he was pulled over by a police officer. Upon inspection of the vehicle, the officer noticed a juvenile under the age of 18.
–Brandy Marie Sloan, 32, of Fredericksburg, on one count of possession of a controlled substance. Sloan allegedly possessed heroin on Apr. 3, 2015 that led to her arrest.
–Felipe Ramirez-Torres, 39, of New Kent, on one count of burglary. According to the indictment, Ramriez-Torres allegedly broke into the home of Mario Lopez to steal items.
