Treacherous roads cause numerous crashes in area
With more than six inches of snow falling and a combination mixture of sleet and snow in the forecast for Saturday, Virginia State Police continue to urge motorists to stay off the road as VDOT continues to work around the clock.
According to Sgt. Stephan Vick of the Virginia State Police, more than 300 crashes and 251 calls for disabled vehicles in central Virginia. Approximately 30 of those accidents have been reported from New Kent, Charles City, King William, and King & Queen Counties.
