Students to serve on committee

New Kent District 3 representative Patricia Paige (second from left) welcomed high school students (l to r) Lexie Reynolds, Sherese Bonner, and Brandon Bonner as the trio was officially appointed to New Kent's Clean County Committee on Monday night. After acquiring information on local by-laws from the county attorney, New Kent supervisors appointed the pupils to the committee, officially making them the first group of students to serve on a county board. The group, who are all honor students, will meet regularly in efforts to provide literature, education, and information on recycling to improve the quality of living and promote a healthy environment.
