Snead awarded UVA Legacy scholarship

The University of Virginia Alumni Association selected Thomas Snead, a Providence Forge resident and senior at Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School, as a 2016 Legacy Scholar.

Snead was chosen as one of three recipients out of a pool of 129 applicants to receive the award. He currently posts a 4.24 GPA and is a member of numerous organizations including the National English Honor Society, German National Honor Society, and the National Honor Society. He also participated in golf, baseball, and basketball.

Each Legacy Scholar will receive a $5,000 annual renewable scholarship and a Life Membership into the UVA Alumni Association.
