Earning the highest honor

Girl Scout Cadette Troop 177 received Silver Awards during a May ceremony. The Silver Award is the highest award that can be earned by the troop and is a result of girls completing prerequisites on community projects. Projects completed among the group include refurbishing a playground at First Baptist Church in West Point, constructing a monarch butterfly habitat at New Kent Department of Forestry Center, and installing Little Free Libraries at Brickshire, Rockahock, and Ed Allen's Campground.
