New Kent refuse sites to accept new items

Beginning July 1, New Kent County and Central Virginia Waste Management Authority (CVWMA) will begin accepting new items at its refuse sites.

Plastic containers and bottles with #1-#7 labels will be accepted at sites. Items include yogurt cups, sour cream containers, plastic take-out containers, and other plastic tubs. Cartons from milk, orange juice, and more will also be taken at the sites.

Plastic bags, styrofoam, or rigid plastics such as toys and hoses will not be accepted.
