Local students recognized for academic achievement by JTCC

Several residents from Charles City and New Kent have been announced to the honors and dean’s list for the Spring 2016 semester at John Tyler Community College.

Named to the honor’s list are Samantha Chapman, Lena Duke, Michael Doan, Cecilia Garner, Casey Rapalee, Kaylin Seely, and John Sweat. Elizabeth Donavan earned Dean’s List recognition.

To be named to the honor’s list, students must have completed at least 24 credit hours and achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher. For recognition of academic achievement on the Dean’s List, a grade-point average of 3.2 or higher must be earned while enrolled as a full-time student.
