Fan Eaton Voegeli Pomfrey

Fan Eaton Voegeli Pomfrey, 92, of New Kent, died Saturday, March 23, 2013. She was born June 1, 1921 in Jackson, Tenn.

She was the oldest living member of Corinth Baptist Church.

Fan was preceded in death by her husband Russell A. Pomfrey, her parents Victor J. and Fannie Irene Voegeli, her brothers Victor, Arch and Jacque Voegeli, and her sisters Gertrude Talor and Merry Ella Conder.

Fan is survived by her brothers William Voegeli (Dorothy Anne) of Madison, Ga., Thomas Voegeli (Hope) of Jackson, Tenn. and Jere Voegeli of Memphis, Tenn.; a brother-in-law Temple Pomfrey of New Kent, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank her caregivers who took such good care of her over the years, Tricia, Brenda, Darlene, Danielle, Lois, Laura, Nancy, Angie, Frances and Marilyn.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, March 26 at Corinth Baptist Church, New Kent. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
