American Red Cross offering smoke alarms

The American Red Cross, in partnership with Senior Connections, is offering smoke alarms to residents in Charles City and New Kent County.

Currently the organization has installed 21 smoke alarms in the localities. The project is part of Fire Prevention Week to raise awareness.
