Lifetime achievement

Former New Kent County Sheriff F.W. “Wakie” Howard Jr. (second from left) is honored by National Traffic Highway Safety Organization director John Marshall with the J. Stannard Baker lifetime achievement award during Wednesday evening’s meeting of the county’s board of supervisors. Howard received the recognition for his dedication to law enforcement in protecting highways and overall contributions to the field. Howard is joined by members of New Kent Sheriff’s Office, whom he gave all the praise to for his accomplishment.
