Sisters Allison Townes (left) and Dr. Lauren Townes Isbell (right) both graduated simultaneously on May 11 from their respective universities. Allison graduated from North Carolina A&T with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Architectual Engineering and is a research assistant at Penn State University. Lauren graduated from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill Medical school with a M.D. degree and now works as a resident physician at Duke University. Lauren and Allison are the daughters of Steven and Jacqueline White Townes of Raleigh, NC, and the granddaughters of the late John C. and Thelma C. White of Charles City.
