CCPS joins Small Rural School Divisions Coalition

Charles City Public School’s school board recently passed a resolution to join the Small Rural School Divisions Coalition.

Made up of 70 school divisions, the purpose of the coalition is to provide needed assistance to smaller schools that need additional finances to continue to support school services. A Jan. 23 press conference pushed for additional support financially support such as the At-Risk Add On budget amendment.

If the amendment is supported and passed by the Virginia General Assembly, Charles City Public schools could receive an additional $36,355 to assist with the FY2018-19 budget.
