Hula wins awards in corn yield contest

Charles City resident David Hula recently won first place both state and nationwide in the No-Till/Strip Till Irrigated division of the 2017 National Corn Growers Association’s (NCGA) Corn Yield Contest.

Hula accomplished the feat by yielding 542.274 bushels of Pioneer P1197AM brand corn per acre. He also earned an additional state and national title by using Pioneer brand products to grow his product.
