Amanda’s Closet opens in New Kent

Amanda’s Closet, an upscale consignment of women, children, and men’s clothing, and some furniture, is now open at 3215 Rock Creek Villa Drive, Suite E, in New Kent.

The store is owned by Sandra Johnson and started as dedication to her daughter, Amanda, who had a stroke at the age of 14, but continues to live strong at the age of 20.

Johnson performed accounting for the past 10 years and decided to enter the cosignment business because she loved it and enjoys it.

Johnson says she chose the location because of support from other businesses in the plaza, as well as New Kent.

Business hours are Monday through Friday, 5-9 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sunday, 12-4 p.m.
