New Kent Elementary School winners hold certificates as part of recognition for participating in the annual HERO contest at Monday night’s school board meeting. The contest allows students to demonstrate ways of combating bullying through essays, posters, and video entries. Winners at New Kent Elementary School are Colin Smolnik (1st-Essay), Dahilia Grech and Isabella Benitez (1st-Video), Blair Williams (1st-Poster), Chloe Smolnik (2nd-Poster), and Brooklyn Maranto (3rd-Poster).
