New Kent’s boys’ tennis team split a pair of contests from Apr. 27-30. The team defeated Rappahannock but fell to Smithfield.

New Kent 7, Rappahannock 2

Singles: Caleb Donovan (R) def. Tate Estis (NK) 8-3; Riley Baker (NK) def. Hunter Gutmann (R) 8-3; Jackson Walker (NK) def. Ian Lewis (R) 8-6; Leighton Fessman (NK) def. Ben Hall (R) 8-1; Adam Gray (NK) def. Cole Hall (R) 8-3; Jack Richards (NK) def. Devin Donovan (R) 9-7.

Doubles: Donovan/Gutmann (R) def. Baker/Estis (NK) 9-7; Fessman/Gray (NK) def. Lewis/Hall (R) 8-4; Walker/Baylor Wayman (NK) def. Devin Donvoan/Oscar Cabral (R) 8-1.

Smithfield 5, New Kent 4
