NKYA baseball registration opens

New Kent Youth Association Baseball has opened registration for the 2014 season.

NKYA is offering three ways to register:

–Walk-in registration on Jan. 25, 2014, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Historical School gym’s lobby.

–Mail-in registration, sending the completed form to NKYA Baseball, P.O. Box 56, Lanexa, Va., 23089.

–Online registration at www.nkyabaseball.com.

Registration fee, which include a team jersey and hat, are as follows (all fees are per player):

–$55 for intro to t-ball (age 4).
–$80 for t-ball (ages 5-6).
–$80 for Rookie league (ages 7-8).
–$90 for Minor league (ages 9-10).
–$90 for Major league (ages 11-12).
–$100 for Babe Ruth league (ages 13-15).

Registration deadline is Feb. 17. Tryouts begin Feb. 22, 10 a.m. and Feb. 23, 1:30 p.m. (if unable to make Feb. 22). Rain date try-outs are Mar. 1-2. Regular season and opening day ceremonies are Mar. 22.
