Historical markers in Charles City, New Kent recognized as part of 400th anniversary

The James Lafayette Historical Highway Marker in New Kent and the Lott Cary Birthplace Historical Marker in Charles City were among 35 markers that received a special designation from the 2019 Commemoration of American Evolution.

The markers are part of the Virginia History Trails and are being recognized as part of the Commonwealth of Virginia’s 400th anniversary.
