VPE Capital Day 2019

Charles City High School government teacher Lisa-Michelle Allmond (left) and former Charles City JROTC instructor and current Virginia Professional Educators’ Director of Government Relations Vernon Peters (right), participated in Capitol Day 2019 at a recent gathering of the Virginia General Assembly. The program allowed school educators an opportunity to meet and discuss education related issues with lawmakers in efforts to improve student education, teacher compensation, and teacher assistance.
