New Kent siblings excel at National AAU indoor track meet
A pair of New Kent siblings earned recognition at the AAU Track and Field National Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Jayden Curry cleared a height of 4’8” in the high jump, becoming a national champion in the event for the 13 and under age group. His sister, Lauren Curry, jumped 12’6” in the 11 and under girls’ long jump competition, finishing tenth.
The competition was held in Landover, Maryland, over a three-day period and consisted of more than 2,500 competitors.
