Williams wins three events, Brown two to help Lady Panthers to second place finish

Alexis Williams won three events while teammate Laina Brown claimed two first place finishes as Charles City’s Lady Panthers scored 80 points in finishing second at their March 28 home meet.
Williams earned victories in the 100-meter dash (14.06), high jump (4’4”), and triple jump (29’5”). Brown doubled-up in first place finishes in the girls’ long jump (11’9”) and girls’ 100-meter hurdles (18.93). Charles City’s Skye Bradby also earned a top spot for the Lady Panthers, winning the girls’ 400-meter dash (1:11.51).
King William won the girls’ competition, scoring 98 points. Rappahannock finished in third with 54, followed by Washington & Lee (10) and Carver Academy (1).
On the boys’ side, Charles City scored 23.5 points to finish fifth in the competition.
King William’s boys won the competition with 116 points. Rounding out the scoring was Rappahannock (79), Washington & Lee (48), and Carver Academy (38.5).
