Races to impact roads in Charles City, New Kent this weekend (May 4-5, 2019)

Two events will impact both New Kent and Charles City County this weekend.

On Saturday, May 4, from 7:30 a.m.-11 a.m., motorists can expect delays as the Uncorked Half and 5K will take place in New Kent. Roads effected include Angel Share Drive, Old Church Road, Talleysville Road, and Old River Road. Sheriff’s officers will be on scene to guide drivers during this time. On Sunday, May 5, from 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., motorists can expect delays in Charles City and New Kent as the Ironman 70.3 triathlon will take place. Roads impacted in Charles City is John Tyler Memorial Highway (Route 5) and Courthouse Road (155). Roads effected in New Kent include Boulevard Road, and Pocahontas Trail (Route 60).
