Crawley making run at Charles City County sheriff position

Jayson Crawley will vie for the position of sheriff of Charles City County.

Crawley, who currently is employed by Surry County Sheriff’s Office, has also served as a deputy and captain for Charles City County Sheriff’s Office.

“I feel that my 21 years of experience in law enforcement and 30 years in public safety will provide me with the necessary tools to be a down to earth professional sheriff,” Crawley said in a press release. “I will ensure that my office is firm, fair, and consistent to all citizens of the county, as well as those who travel through.”
