Inclement weather forces postponements of meetings

Several local meetings have been postponed due to this week’s inclimate weather.

Charles City County’s school board meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 21, will now be held on Monday, Jan. 27, 7:30 p.m.

New Kent County’s school board meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 21, is now scheduled for Monday, Jan. 27, beginning at 5 p.m.

New Kent’s Planning Commission meeting originally tabled for Tuesday, Jan. 21, has been cancelled. The commission will reconvene for its annual monthly meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 6:30 p.m.

New Kent’s division wide spelling bee, originally scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 22, has been moved to Thursday, Jan. 30, at 12:30 p.m. inside of the New Kent Middle School auditorium.
