New Kent Gymnastics off to successful start in 4th year

New Kent Gymnastics Center started its fourth competitive season, with teams and individuals posting numerous victories.
The team’s success began at the Jerrell Steel Invitational in Richmond. The Xcel team garnered a first place team trophy while the Level Four team finished in third.
Individually, first place winners were Lee Ann Testerman on the floor exercise, Raylin Wills on floor exercise, and Hailey Crusenberry on the uneven bars. Other top finishers were Alexandria Crostic (2nd, balance beam; 3rd, floor exercise), Afton Fults (2nd, balance beam), Lily Ohlshlager (2nd, vault; 3rd all-around), Ava Lawson (2nd, uneven bars), Hannah Bradley (3rd, floor exercise), Rebecca Charnock (3rd, vault), and Crusenberry (third, balance beam.)
The team’s second meet was the Fairy Tale Invitational in Newport News. Xcel, Level Three, and Level Four all won second place in team competition.
Bradley took the gold in floor exercise and Costic earned first on the vault. Haley Holland won first on the balance beam. Crostic earned third place finishes in the uneven bards, floor exercise, and all-around, while Holland also was a mulitple event winner finishing second on the floor exercise and all-around competition, and third on the balance beam.
Other top finishers were Courtney Carter (2nd, balance beam), Fults (2nd, balance beam and floor exercise), Kayla Jones (3rd, uneven bars), Melissa Spangler (3rd, vault), Testerman (2nd, uneven bars; 3rd, balance beam), Alexis Welcher, (2nd, vault), Briniya Glenn (2nd, vault, floor, and all-around), Coyle, (3rd, uneven bars, floor, and all-around), Ohlshlager (3rd, vault), Lawson (3rd, beam), Hannah Couch (2nd, beam), and Crusenberry (3rd, floor exercise).
